We offer several programs and rebates to help you use electricity more efficiently, saving you money for years to come. Energy Optimization
You Have the Power to Make a Difference
Energy optimization means using energy wisely. HomeWorks has long offered energy efficiency programs designed to reduce the energy use of participating members by encouraging investment in energy efficiency measures.

There are many residential programs and rebates that are available to members through the HomeWorks Energy Optimization program. Appliance Recycling
Ready to upgrade or get rid of an old refrigerator or freezer?
Recycle it and save energy! Older, inefficient appliances can cost hundreds of dollars each year to operate. Schedule a free pick up for your outdated, functioning appliances and earn cash incentives.
What items qualify for pick up?
Full-size refrigerators and chest freezers are eligible for free pick up. If a truck is coming to your residence to retrieve one of these items, dehumidifiers and room air conditioners can also be sent for recycling as ride along items. Please notify the call center when scheduling your appointment if you have a room AC or dehumidifier you would like recycled. Limit: Two primary appliances and two ride along items per year.
How do I schedule an appointment?
This is a seasonal program, available April 1 – Oct. 1. To schedule an appointment during those dates, contact the Energy Optimization team at 877-296-4319. Our scheduling center is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST.
Efficient Home Appliances
Are you considering a remodeling project or looking for ways to spruce up your living space? Are new appliances on your shopping list? Choose qualifying ENERGY STAR® or Energy Optimization eligible options and you may earn rebates to help you save money now and for years to come. Eligible products include items such as room air conditioners, clothes dryers, refrigerators, and induction stoves.
Efficient Home Heating & Cooling
Increase the comfort and efficiency of your home and earn cash rebates when you purchase qualified equipment. Technology continues to evolve and improve. Discuss your options with a local contractor to learn what solutions are available for you.
Electric Vehicles & Home Charging
With less overall maintenance, less emissions, and more convenience when it comes to fueling your vehicle, electric vehicles are the right choice for many families. Incentives are available for the purchase of a new or used EV, ENERGY STAR-certified Level 2 chargers, and even electric golf carts. Why should you consider an EV for your next car purchase?
Cheaper to operate
Charging an EV is cheaper than filling up a gasoline- or diesel-powered car, especially with HomeWorks’ competitive rates. EVs also require less maintenance (no more oil changes!).
Environmentally-friendly
EVs have no exhaust coming from a tailpipe. And with HomeWorks’ increasing carbon-free and renewable energy portfolios, charging an EV is cleaner than ever!

Why stand outside in the elements at a gas station when you can just plug in your EV at home?

Agricultural & Farm Rebates
From granaries to dairy farms to greenhouses, agribusinesses are energy intensive industries. But often, there are simple ways to get your energy use under control and greatly reduce costs. Take advantage of equipment rebates for all your efficient equipment upgrades – from lighting to irrigation systems. Farmers can also request a FREE engine block heater timer.
