For Students & Teachers

Today's younger generations are tomorrow's cooperative leaders. That's why we reach out to high school students in mid-Michigan through the National Rural Electric Youth Tour. Learn more here, and  apply here by February 28.

We also offer scholarships to high school seniors, to adults seeking to return to continue their education, and to potential utility technicians who plan to attend an accredited utility technician or equivalent course such as the one offered by Alpena Community College. You must receive electric service from HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative to qualify for the high school and adult scholarships. Applications and more information are available here. Applications must be received by HomeWorks Tri-County on or before March 15, 2018.

We offer Touchstone Energy Classroom Technology Grants, helping teachers and students in our service area. The deadline for 2018 grant applications was January 15. Watch this space and Michigan Country Lines magazine for announcements about this year's grants, and check back in November for our 2019 program.

Applications are HERE for the Tri-County Electric People Fund grants (a separate program that assists individuals or organizations in need).
