Tri-County Electric Cooperative was incorporated March 26, 1937 by farmers in Ingham, Eaton, and Jackson counties. The need for electrification on rural farms caused the co-op to grow quickly, and we now serve over 25,000 meters in parts of Barry, Clare, Clinton, Gratiot, Ionia, Isabella, Mecosta, Montcalm, Osceola and Saginaw counties as well.

We added HomeWorks to our name in the mid-1990s to reflect the growth of our electric co-op to provide other needed services to rural families, such as propane, internet connections, and more.
