$1,000 to the Child Abuse Prevention Council in Grand Ledge for their “Don’t Shake Me” program
$1,500 to St. Mary’s St. Vincent DePaul, Charlotte, for their emergency needs program.
$500 to EightCAP, Inc., in Greenville to help with Camp Wah-Wah-tay-See expenses.
$1,000 to the Central Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross, Mt. Pleasant, for their disaster services program.
$2,500 to a Montcalm County family for dental expenses.
$1,774 to an Eaton County family for housing expenses.
$750 to an Eaton County family for home repairs.

Ten grants totaling $14,166.19, including:

$1,500 to Eaton Clothing and Furniture Center, Charlotte, for their back-to-school event
$2,500 to Capital Area Community Services – Head Start, to help fund an emergency dental program;
$500 to the Yes Center in Grand Ledge, to provide healthy snacks for an after-school program
$1,138.19 to Relief After Violent Encounters (RAVE) in St. Johns, to purchase a washing machine, dryer, and range for the shelter
$500 to a Mecosta County family to help with housing expenses
$2,500 to a Mecosta County family to help with housing and insurance expenses after a catastrophic accident
$1,625 to a Mecosta County family to help with dental expenses
$983 to a Mecosta County family to pay heating expenses
$420 to a Montcalm County family to purchase Life-Line monitoring services for an elderly member living alone
$2,500 to a Montcalm County family toward the cost of a new well.

$750 to Ionia County Branch YMCA for their Strong Kids Campaign.
$7,000 to God’s Helping Hands of Remus to help families with food and personal care items.
$650 to a Mecosta County familiy to help with housing expenses.
$744 to an Ingham County family for housing expenses.
$2,500 to an Isabella County family toward housing expenses.

Seven grants totaling $8,119.97, including:

$1,000 to Highfields, Inc., in Onondaga, to help with cabin renovations.
$500 to Gratiot County Parks & Recreation, Ithaca, toward installation of a public water system.
$1,275 to East Montcalm Baby Pantry at Vestaburg, to purchase diapers and shelving supplies.
$1,000 to Crisis Center/Listening Ear in Mt. Pleasant, for camp retreat expenses.
$844.97 to a Montcalm County family for medical expenses.
$2,500 to one Clare County family, and $1,000 to another Clare County family, to help with housing expenses.

October 3, 2007

Six grants totaling $10,430, including:

$900 to the Child Abuse Prevention Council in Grand Ledge, to pay printing expenses for the “Bubbylonian Encounter” program;
$1,000 to Fremont Township Fire Department, Winn, as a challenge grant to purchase self-contained breathing apparatus;
$1,500 to M-46 Tabernacle Pantry, Riverdale, to buy food for the pantry;
$4,000 to Grand Ledge Emergency Assistance for their emergency assistance program;
$530 to an Isabella County family to purchase fuel oil; and
$2,500 to another Isabella County family for dental expenses.

$1,000 to Housing Services for Eaton County, Charlotte, to help with housing payments.
$1,000 to Child & Family Enrichment Council in Mount Pleasant for building improvements.
$1,500 to St. Mary’s St. Vincent DePaul, Charlotte, for their emergency fund.
$650 to the Portland Community Fund to buy food gift certificates for this year’s Christmas baskets.
$500 to the Elsie Area Ambulance Service to buy new radios.
$1,000 to a Montcalm County family to pay for an electrical upgrade.
$2,500 to an Isabella County family for medical expenses.
$548 to another Isabella County family toward medical and utility expenses.
$1,000 to a Clinton County family toward housing expenses.

10 grants totaling $9,738.99, including:

$100 to the Mecosta County D.A.R.E. Program for program expenses.
$700 to Project Starburst in Big Rapids, to purchase an upright freezer.

$639 to Crystal Township Fire Department, for 20 pairs of wildfire goggles.

$1,183 to Relief After Violent Encounter, St. Johns, to pay for security monitoring and an intercom phone system.

$1,000 to Portland Habitat for Humanity for building expenses.

$100 to Portland Area Ministerial Association for their Compassion Fund.

$416.99 to a Montcalm County family to pay utility expenses.

$2,500 to a Montcalm County family for housing expenses.

$2,500 to an Isabella County family to install a new drainfield.

$600 to a Mecosta County family for vehicle repairs.

$750 to EightCAP Camp Way-Wah-Tay-See, Greenville, to pay for several children or adults with disabilities to attend the weeklong camp.
$600 to Ionia Area Hospice, for equipment to help families record DVDs with memories and messages.
$1,500 to Central Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross, for their Armed Forces Emergency Services Program, helping over 70 military families in Clare and Isabella counties.
$300 to the 29th District Court, Family Division, in Ithaca, to provide summer activities for disadvantaged youths and their families.
$600 to Winn Area Activity Center, to help provide field trips, snacks and supplies for children.
$500 to an Eaton County family for bathroom repairs.
$860 to a Mecosta County family for housing expenses.
$821 to another Mecosta County family for utility expenses.
$1,950 to a Clare County family toward a new furnace.
$500 to an Isabella County family toward a new well system.
