$250 cholarships
Two $250 scholarships are also being offered to support adults seeking further education. The deadline for applying for these one-time scholarships will be March 15, 2009. Plans are to announce the winners at their district meetings in May.

Eligibility

You must be a U.S. citizen and member-owner of the cooperative, with their primary residence in HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative’s service area, or reside in an area served by the Cooperative.

Scholarships are available to home-schooled students, as well as those enrolled in public or private high schools.

You must be enrolled in an accredited full-time post-secondary credit program (institute, technical, community college, or university) with a program starting date between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010.

Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Academic achievements
- An applicant-written statement of educational and career goals
- Leadership, community service, and work experience
- A recommendation written by a third party
Deadline to receive applications at our Portland office is 5 p.m. on March 15, 2009.
