  • $1,500 to the John Goodrow Fund in Mt. Pleasant to assist families with emergency needs.
  • $3,076 to Eagle Village in Hersey, to purchase a new gas stove for family and youth activities.
  • $2,500 to East Montcalm Baby Pantry for supplies.
  • $2,240 to an Ingham County family to help with housing expenses.
  • $2,474 to an Isabella County family to help with dental expenses.

November 4, 2009
Four grants and two challenge grants totaling $3,900.90:

  • $1,000 to First Congregational Church, Portland, for its food pantry.
  • $500 to Eaton Community Hospice, Charlotte, as a challenge grant toward a snow blower.
  • $100 to the Remus Historical Society as a challenge grant toward a handicap ramp.
  • $1,125 to a Gratiot County family to help with housing expenses.
  • $900 to a Montcalm County family to pay for heating fuel.
  • $275.90 to another Montcalm County family to build an interior handicap ramp.

September 23, 2009
Five grants totaling $6,162.04:

  • $1,000 to Relief After Violent Encounter, St. Johns, to upgrade their computer system.
  • $1,500 to M-46 Tabernacle Pantry in Riverdale for their food pantry.
  • $2,000 to St. Mary’s St. Vincent DePaul, Charlotte, for their utility and rent assistance program.
  • $775 to a Mecosta County family to pay for heating fuel.
  • $887.04 to an Ionia County family to help with medical expenses.

August 19, 2009
Two grants totaling $5,000:

  • $2,500 to a Montcalm County family to help with housing expenses.
  • $2,500 to another Montcalm County family to help pay dental expenses.

July 8, 2009
Four grants totaling $7,983.96:

  • $1,483.96 to the Wheatland Township Library in Remus, to buy a computer and printer for their patrons’ internet access.
  • $1,500 to the American Red Cross - Mecosta/Osceola in Big Rapids for their emergency assistance program.
  • $2,500 to Heart and Hands in Eaton County, serving Eaton Rapids and Springport school districts, for their emergency assistance program.
  • $2,500 to a Montcalm County family to help with dental expenses.

May 19, 2009
Six grants totaling $10,500:

  • $500 to the Yes Center in Grand Ledge, to buy healthy snacks for their youth programs.
  • $2,000 to Capital Area Community Services in Eaton and Ingham counties, for their dental treatment program.
  • $2,500 to Grand Ledge Emergency Assistance for their emergency assistance program.
  • $1,500 to the American Red Cross – Central Michigan Chapter, for their disaster services program.
  • $1,500 to an Isabella County family to help with funeral expenses.
  • $2,500 to a Montcalm County family to put in a new well.

  • $1,260 to an Eaton County family for dental expenses.
  • $768.94 to an Isabella County family to help with housing expenses.

  • $300 to Hope’s Pantry in Stanton to purchase personal care items.
  • $2,500 to Housing Services of Eaton County in Charlotte to assist families with housing payments.
  • $2,000 to St. Mary’s St. Vincent DePaul in Charlotte for their utility and rent assistance program.
  • $420 to a Montcalm County family to help with medical expenses.
  • $854.55 to a Mecosta County family to help with medical expenses.
  • $327.21 to a Montcalm County family for housing expenses.
  • $500 to an Isabella County family toward housing expenses.
